Bose Wireless Headphones
Bose QuietComfort 3 and Bose Triport Headphones Reviews

We review two Bose wireless headphones for you. Note that these headphones are not "true" wireless headphones since unfortunately Bose does not manufacturer wireless headphones.

However, the headphones on this page are the closest you can come to being wireless if you must have a Bose, by providing either a detachable cable or a cable extension cord.

Alternatively, visit our wireless headphones section for a great selection of headphones with true wireless capabilities offered from other top brands like Sennheiser and Sony.

Bose can be described as the "big boss" of the headphone industry as they are one of the most well known and highly respected brand names.

Bose headphones are one of the highest quality headphones on the market in terms of overall build, technological features and quality of materials used for production.

Headphones from the Bose factory meet the best quality standards in the headphone industry but these come at a price. Most Bose headphones are very pricey as compared with other headphones in their category produced by a different manufacturer.

Bose wireless headphones employ the latest technology in developing wireless feature in headphones combined with other features that improve sound quality and durability.

There are different wireless headphones on the market produced by Bose. Each of them falls into different categories depending on their varied features.

The word Bose strikes a chord in the electronics industry as their products are mainly of high quality but very expensive. Some Bose products may not provide value for money over a given period of time.

If you are looking to purchase a Bose wireless headphone, then you need to know the basic features of such headphones so as to get back value for money spent.

Bose QuietComfort 3

Bose QuietComfort 3 Wireless Headphones
The Bose QuietComfort 3 Acoustic noise cancelling headphones are on-ear headphones that employ advanced Bose technology in cancelling out most background noise.

They are suited for use when travelling or working in noisy environments as background noise is reduced to the barest minimum.

The Bose QC3 headphones come in a box along with a dual plug adapter, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a battery charger, a carrying case and a detachable audio cable.

Physical features of these headphones that make them more desirable include; specially made earcups that rest gently on the ears, a simple lightweight design and earcups that fold flat for easy storage in its carrying case.

Background noise is electronically identified and reduced while preserving sound quality in the QC3's using Acoustic noise cancelling technology available only from Bose.

Though on-the-ear design on headphones do not do such a good job in isolating background noise but the QC3's are quite effective in reducing background noise.

Audio quality is superb on these Bose wireless headphones but the bass can be somewhat heavy depending on the kind of music being played. These headphones are durable but should be handled with care. The stem is quite narrow and can easily be broken if they are not treated with respect.

The QC3's are built to be lighter than their predecessor (QC2) which makes them a little more appealing comfort-wise but their on-the-ear design makes them prone to falling off the ears unlike the QC2's.

Bose Triport

Bose Triport Wireless Headphones
The Bose Triport headphone is one of the more affordable headphones from Bose.

They are more economical than most Bose headphone products as they provide almost the same technological enhancement features at a lower price.

As with most Bose headphones, quality of sound is assured in this headphone because it utilizes the same Acoustic technology that enhances sound production.

The different beats and sounds from different instruments used in a musical piece can be heard with much clarity and impact.

The Bose Triport headphone is constructed with comfort in mind.

It is lightweight, weighing about 5 ounces. Special ergonomic design is seen in the soft ear cushions which fit around the ears for better listening experience.

These Bose wireless headphones are very fragile, so they should be handled carefully. The quality of materials used to produce these headphones, especially its outer casing is called into question as they break easily.

It can be inferred that low quality plastic forms the main outer covering which makes these headphones lacking in durability.

Sound production from these headphones cannot be compared to production materials used to produce them.

Extra care needs to be taken when handling these headphones, else you should purchase a more durable pair of headphones. For their price, they are quite cheap for Bose brand headphones but this is made evident in the fragility of these headphones.

They make good gifts for Bose fanatic's and can also be bought as backup headphones.

Summary

Bose headphones are the most expensive headphones in almost all categories of headphones on the market.

This brand of headphones do not just boast the highest prices, but also boast the most advanced technological and product features which almost always justifies their price.

This is not to say that the Bose brand of headphones are always the best in any category of headphones, but they usually come out among the top ranking headphones for obvious reasons.

Though some Bose headphones may not justify money spent on them after a period of usage, most Bose headphones pull their weight and provide customers value for their money.

If you want one of the best headphones in any category and have the money to spend, you should get a good Bose headphone that will stand the test of time.
