Koss KSC75 Portable Stereophone Headphones

The Koss KSC75 is a very popular entry level headphone for those on a budget, providing acceptable quality for under twenty dollars.

Manufacturers of the Koss headphones have successfully produced different entry-level headphones that meet basic criteria in sound reproduction.

Most Koss headphone products are produced with low earning individuals in mind who require quality at a relatively cheap rate.

Providing some acceptable level of quality at very low prices is extremely difficult if you want to make some profit as production materials and enhanced technology come into play.

This makes most low-entry headphones fall short of expectations as regards to product features and durability. This notwithstanding, there are still low-level headphones that provide optimal services at cheap rates.

The Koss KSC models of headphones are typical examples of headphones in this category.

Features

Koss KSC75 Portable Stereophone Headphones
The Koss KSC75 headphone is the high-end member of an entry series of Koss headphone models which include the KSC35, KSC50 and KSC55.

The KSC75 is the latest in this series, all of which are built with 60 ohm driver units.

The first model in the series, the KSC35 is an entry-level headphone that marks a standard for all cheap headphones.

The KSC35 is a clip on model which was deemed as old fashioned.

The KSC50 and 55 models are upgrades of the KSC35 which has improved on its old fashioned look, bringing in silver clips which do not fit so snugly on the ears. The Koss KSC75 was thus produced to improve on all deficiencies of the previous models.

The KSC75 comes with a special clip that bends around the ear and fits snugly when fitted correctly. The earclip design is also very comfortable and allows for extended usage of these headphones.

Sound is better appreciated after allowing these headphones to burn-in for about eight hours.

The Koss KSC75 headphones are lighter than the KSC35 but they produce less effective bass sounds which are quite hollow.

Drawbacks

Their open ear construction makes them leak out noise to the surroundings which reduces their effectiveness while listening.

The ear clipping system can be quite troublesome and takes some time getting used to it. The clips usually come off if not fitted properly and can be a nuisance when listening to music on the go.

Durability is not one of the strongest points of the Koss KSC75 and defects become evident as they get older with use. Their durability problem demands you to be prepared for replacement at some time in the future, so it is advisable to buy these headphones with the warranty intact.

Though these are inexpensive headphones, replacing them demands that you pay more money to get another pair that will probably develop the same problem.

You need to think long and hard before purchasing these headphones but if you are on a tight budget, you can obtain them with a view to purchasing another pair of headphones in the near future.

Summary

Many people are on a tight budget and do not have much money to spend on a headphone while others just want to get a headphone at the cheapest price possible, not bothering about enhanced features, functions or durability.

Headphones were developed to enhance personal listening on portable and home music devices.

Many users now demand improved functions in headphones and manufacturers continue to improve on their products.

Hence, there are high quality headphones that come with different enhancement features for better listening experience and low quality headphones which come at relatively cheap prices. The result therefore is that you get what you pay for.

The Koss KSC75 headphone is a low-level headphone that costs less than twenty dollars. They are good entry-level headphones that provide listening quality up to a reasonable degree. You can purchase these as backup headphones for use when carrying out some activities.

Quality is not guaranteed but they have provided acceptable services to many users who are careful and are not fussy about technological and product features.
