Best Logitech Headsets
Logitech Precision Gaming Headset and Logitech ClearChat Stereo Headset Reviews

Here we review two of the best Logitech headsets — the Logitech Precision Gaming Headset and the Logitech ClearChat Stereo Headset.

When you are looking for a headset you want something that fits right and gives you the sound quality you are looking for when you are playing your songs, or games. It can't be too tight, or too large, luckily most headsets are adjustable, so that shouldn't be a problem.

We'll shortly present some headsets for you that are from Logitech. Logitech is a computer supply company based in Switzerland that was founded in 1981.

The most prominent Logitech products are their mice (electronic!) and keyboards. They already distribute their products in over 100 countries and I am proud to own a mouse and keyboard from them myself.

They also make trackballs, sound systems, webcams, joysticks, universal remote controls, tons of other computer and console supplies and, of course, headsets.

The first headset I will introduce will be the "Logitech Precision Gaming Headset". The name already implies what it was made for.

Afterwards I'll introduce the "Logitech ClearChat Stereo Headset" which is inexpensive and designed for voice chat over the internet.

Logitech Precision Gaming Headset

Logitech Precision PC Gaming Headsets
The Logitech Precision Gaming headset is made for gaming, hence the name.

It includes a microphone built in on the side of the headset, and you can also alter the distance of the microphone to your mouth, depending on your physique.

The soft earpieces will make sure you feel comfortable even after wearing it for longer time periods.

Naturally, there is a volume regulator on the cable, which saves you from turning it off manually on your computer.

The package of the product isn't exactly the best, but what's inside is what counts. Trying it out I can agree with the product description, it fits well on my ears but after a while my ears got hot and it felt sweaty.

This can worsen in summer time or in warmer climates. My main problem at first however, was how to put it on my head! I was confused at first but by looking at it closer I noticed that what I thought was the top part was indeed the part that would stay on the back of my head.

When you see a picture of this Logitech headset you will notice that they have holes in them. That's where your ears go in to support the headphones lying on the back of your head.

It took getting used to, since I usually have it on top of my head, but it doesn't wobble or shake, contrary to what I thought when I first put them on correctly.

The sound quality is sufficient for gaming and you can hear quite well where an enemy is coming from in an action game. The microphone's quality is superb and when using it with Skype my conversation partner had no problem talking to me.

Altogether, this is a well-balanced headset with great wearing comfort, even after a longer time, just be wary when it gets hotter, lest you want sweaty ears.

Logitech ClearChat Stereo Headset

Logitech ClearChat Stereo Headsets
The Logitech ClearChat Stereo Headset is a comfortable and attractive headset for people who are getting into PC phone calls, online chatting and gaming for an inexpensive price.

The microphone also lowers static when calling others and hides background sounds, this way you can hear the person on the other side without interference.

It is also configured to work optimally with internet voice-chat programs such as Skype, Ventrilo or Yahoo messenger.

Naturally, it comes with a sound regulator and mute button on the cable.

When I got this Logitech headset it was in a cheap package, but that doesn't really matter. I put on some music and the sound quality was impressive, albeit the headphones are pretty cheap.

However, due to its cheap build it isn't easy to wear on my head. After a while it starts to hurt on your head and it isn't very flexible or made for longer gaming sessions or conversations.

For a quick game however, the sound quality is sufficient and the microphone is good as well. It can easily compete with more expensive headsets.

Sadly, after 4 weeks of more or less intensive use, the cable came out of the headphones and was not repairable.

Summary

I can say that these two Logitech headsets are well built, for whatever the price they demand and they will deliver the quality you need.

If you use your computer sporadically, get the ClearChat Stereo headset. If you are into gaming and want an inexpensive headset with a great build, get the Precision Gaming headset.
