Sennheiser RS 140, Sennheiser RS 130 and Sennhesier RS120 Wireless Headphone Reviews

In this article we review three popular Sennheiser wireless headphones — Sennheiser RS 140, Sennheiser RS 130 and Sennheiser RS 120.

About Sennheiser

Sennheiser was founded in 1945 a few weeks after the second World War by Fritz Sennheiser as well as seven additional engineers from the University of Hannover.

It was started in Labortorium Wennebostel, which had been named after the village of Wennebostel because it had been moved there due to the war.

The first product to come out of the company was a voltmeter which is a device used for measuring the electrical potential difference between two points in an electric circuit.

Soon after, in 1946, they began to make microphones. The company started making wireless microphones in 1982.

Sennheiser sells many things including headphones, microphones, multimedia headsets, conference and information systems, aviation headsets, business headsets, speakers, and electronic sound-based components.

While headphones may be clunkier than ear buds, some people still happily prefer them.

Not only is the sound not blowing directly into the ear, which can give people headaches as well as ear aches, but they also have a nice cushion for the entire ear instead of just the ear canal.

These Sennheiser wireless headphones include a well balanced sound system with a fairly low cost for the quality that is offered.

They also turn off and charge automatically when they're placed on the charging stand. They work well when moving from place to place with very little interference.

Those who are interested in a pair of Sennheiser wireless headphones to use with gaming or to play heavy rock n' roll or rap would probably prefer the 140s due to their better isolation.

Tastes when it comes to headphones tend to vary greatly, as they should.

What may be right for one person will not necessarily be the best choice for another.

Nonetheless, a pair of Sennheiser wireless headphones will be sure to please anyone due to the fact that the brand takes pride in making sure that their products treat everyone well.

This is why it is always a good idea to buy headphones from more well-known brands.

These headphones are great for both television and music listeners. For television, it has a special setting for surround sound which really works well and puts a person right there with the action.

For the music, it's got a nice isolation area so the only thing to be heard is the music itself, which is crisp, clear, and warm.

A nice plus with these headphones is the open design because as long as the music or television is not up too loud, it is easy to hear people speaking to you and to be able to carry on a conversation without taking the headphones off.

The battery can run for about 22 hours without needing to be charged, which is great for people who like to listen to music all day, but can be bad because it can cause people to forget to charge them.

On the down side, the open design is also not very good when it comes to barking dogs or just generally keeping the music only to one person.

There will be popping and hissing at times due to the lack of wire when the Sennheiser wireless headphones are moved too far out of the range of the receiver.

Sennheiser RS120 Wireless Headphones
Headphones are great for anything excluding running, as they are more likely to come off than ear buds are.

They can be taken on trips, to mow the lawn, outside, and over to a neighbor's without losing reception if they are a pair of Sennheiser wireless headphones.

The 120s have a 300ft radius that is perhaps a conservative estimate as they can work in pretty much every room of a house, next door, and across the street.

This is obviously assuming that the user lives in a neighborhood and not surrounded by woods.

There is little to no interference to speak of and, at $60, this is excellent for Sennheiser wireless headphones.

Though the quality is to be expected, the price makes this an even nicer buy and the battery life can last over ten hours without charging it.

The knobs are poorly placed with the volume knob and the turning knob right next to each other, making it easy to mistake one for the other when not paying enough attention, which can result in a fairly nice headache.

The foam ear pieces are flat and not cupped like the majority of the Sennheiser wireless headphones are. This means that they sit on the ear, and not form around them. The auto shut off can be annoying as this means that the base shuts off after a few minutes of no sound.
