The Sony Corporation is a Japanese company that was founded in 1946 by Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morita.

The company is a major contributor to the world of entertainment. In fact, it is the fifth largest company in the entertainment business and worth more than $70 billion dollars.

The company make a wide range of entertainment products but are most famous for their line of game consoles such as the newest additions, the Sony Playstation 3 and the Sony Playstation Portable.

In this review we will be going over the features and drawbacks of Sony MDR V6 headphones.

Features

Sony MDR V6 Headphones Review
The Sony MDR V6 is a model of headphones that dates back to the 1980s, they were designed for those who need professional audio equipment.

The best thing about these headphones is the sound that comes from them.

Some say they sound better than most big name companies' products that specialize in making audio equipment.

The voice coil is made from oxygen free copper to give them the flawless sound for professional use.

The bass in these headphones is clear and low, and even at lower volumes the sound is still excellent, you can't really get this in other headphones. This set of headphones also comes with a 10 foot coiled cord that makes it easy to move around while wearing them.

The ear cups on the MDR V6 cover the entire ear and are able to help to cancel out some of the background noise. These headphones also fold, which makes it much easier for you to put in a bag and travel. A case is provided with the product.

Drawbacks

The biggest complaint with the Sony MDR V6 headphones is that the pads on the ear cups are a bit uncomfortable and even though the sound is superb, many cannot get past the discomfort. However, this can be remedied by purchasing a different type of pad for the ear cups.

If you decide that you like the pads on the cups, you should be aware that many say they wear out easily and begin to flake.

Another discomfort that many have noted is that the headset is a bit heavy, mostly the cord. Many say this is best fixed by putting the cord up on something like your lap or desk so the pull isn't as bad. A few customers have complained about the durability of these headphones.

However, if these headphones are taken care of well they should last a good while.

Summary

Over all, the Sony MDR V6 is a great set of headphones if you can find a way to make them more comfortable. These are not completely noise-canceling and can be a pain if you need the isolation.

It is suggested that if you need good isolation to look for a pair of actual noise-canceling headphones. These headphones have received an amazing range of reviews and most give them a 4-5 star rating.
