Texting on the Zune HD?

Is there any way to text a phone from my Zune HD?

Answer:

Yes, there is!

Since the Zune HD does not have a phone, you need to use a service that allows you to send text messages to a phone over the web.

I did some quick research and I came across two that you can try out.

1. http://www.txtdrop.com
2. http://www.joopz.com

Both of these services allow you to send text messages over the internet.

So just go to these websites using the browser on your Zune HD and fire off a text message! (Make sure you are first connected to a Wi-Fi network.)

TxtDrop even has an iPhone app. Hopefully we'll see one for the Zune HD in the future as well which will make text messaging a lot easier.
