Zune HD Screen Turns Off

Sometimes when I listen to my Zune HD it's screen randomly turns off and I can't turn it on again. I'm forced to turn it off and turn it back on.

I would like to know if this is a normal problem. If you need video, tell me and I could get some of the problem happening.

No, this is not normal. I couldn't tell from your description but is the audio still playing when the screen goes black? This certainly sounds like a problem with your Zune HD.

I would recommend reinstalling the firmware on your Zune HD and see if it fixes the problem. Follow these instructions.

Hopefully that solves the problem for you. If you are still experiencing the issue after reinstalling the firmware and you are unable to exchange your device for a new one, then I would recommend looking into Zune repair.

How annoying! Don't you just hate when things don't work the way they're supposed to? :)

That's another interesting piece of information. Are you using a Zune car pack when you're listening to your Zune HD in your car?

I just realized that your Zune HD should be under warranty. So use this link instead which shows you how to get Microsoft to fix the issue for you.

Yes, I can still listen to music. Oddly enough, this problem only happens when I'm in my car.
