Fix Your Broken Zune HD With Rapid Repair

Is your Zune is experiencing problems? Zune repair is available, affordable and might be a better option than buying a brand new Zune. So, don't throw it away!

You can repair most issues—whether it's a broken screen, poor battery life, a faulty processing chip or anything in between.

For do-it-yourself handy people Zune parts are available. Just be forewarned, as soon as you've opened your Zune, you've voided your warranty!

For the rest of us, there is Rapid Repair.

Rapid Repair is a full service Zune repair shop. (They repair iPods too.) They have a good sized staff of seasoned technicians on hand just waiting to get their hands on your Zune. (To fix it, of course!)

If you are experiencing any problems with your Zune, the first step would be to request a diagnostic from them. It's free (ok, well it costs 1 cent) and within 24-48 hours you'll receive the doctor's diagnosis along with a quote for how much it will cost to fix the issue.

Only after you authorize the work will they fix it. If you don't feel the cost is worth it, then they will just ship it back to you.

So what's the catch? Well, it costs money to ship it to Rapid Repair and for them to ship it back to you. They charge the shipping cost up front. The cheapest shipping option within the United States is Fed Ex ground which costs $11.99.

Still, as compared to a new Zune which costs upwards of $100, the repair price may be worth paying. And all Zune repairs come with a 90 day warranty on parts and labor.

Tip: Before going ahead with repair, also check the cost of a refurbished Zune. Sometimes you may be able to buy a refurbished Zune for less than the cost to repair your old one. (Unfortunately not all models are available refurbished and choice is limited.)

If for some reason your Zune is beyond repair, they may even offer to buy it from you for parts! This is a great way to offset the cost of your new Zune if you were planning on buying a new Zune anyways.
