Zune Software says that I'm out of space on my Zune

The Zune Software says that I'm out of space on my Zune!

I have about 5.5 Gb remaining but it says they're reserved. When I tried to turn that off it didn't work.

Could you maybe help me out? Please respond soon!

Answer:

The problem you describe usually happens when you sync your Zune from multiple computers. It can also happen if you had your Zune associated with a PC and reinstalled Windows on that PC.

If you use multiple PCs to sync your Zune, your Zune will divide it's space up among the different PCs. It won't let you delete content synced from one PC from another PC and instead thinks it's "out of space".

If this is the case, the best way to fix it is to really erase all content and then re-sync. Hopefully this won't be a problem.

You can do this from the Zune software by going to settings -> device. Under sync options click "erase all content". Note that this will delete everything from your Zune so make sure this is ok and you can re-sync everything from your PC.

Let me know if this doesn't work for you and we can think of something else.
